This was the perfect starter for our New Years party and everyone loved the burst of fresh herbs with the Brie.
Ingredients
- Pastry: 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- Cheese: 150 g (5 oz) Brie cheese rind removed and cut into 12 cubes
- Fruit & Toppings: 3 tbsp raspberry or fig preserves
- Fruit & Toppings: 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
- Fruit & Toppings: 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives or parsley
- Garnish: Freshly ground black pepper
- Garnish: 1 tbsp chopped pistachios (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
- Step 2:
- Unroll the puff pastry and cut into 12 equal squares. Gently press each square into the muffin cups.
- Step 3:
- Place a cube of Brie in each pastry cup. Top with a small spoonful of preserves.
- Step 4:
- Bake for 12 15 minutes or until pastry is golden and cheese is melted.
- Step 5:
- Remove from oven and let cool for 2 3 minutes. Carefully transfer tartlets to a serving platter.
- Step 6:
- Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds chives or parsley black pepper and pistachios if using.
- Step 7:
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
