A festive and elegant appetizer featuring creamy Brie, vibrant fruit preserves, and a burst of fresh herbs, perfect for any New Years celebration.

This was the perfect starter for our New Years party and everyone loved the burst of fresh herbs with the Brie.

Ingredients

  • Pastry: 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • Cheese: 150 g (5 oz) Brie cheese rind removed and cut into 12 cubes
  • Fruit & Toppings: 3 tbsp raspberry or fig preserves
  • Fruit & Toppings: 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • Fruit & Toppings: 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives or parsley
  • Garnish: Freshly ground black pepper
  • Garnish: 1 tbsp chopped pistachios (optional)

Instructions

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
Step 2:
Unroll the puff pastry and cut into 12 equal squares. Gently press each square into the muffin cups.
Step 3:
Place a cube of Brie in each pastry cup. Top with a small spoonful of preserves.
Step 4:
Bake for 12 15 minutes or until pastry is golden and cheese is melted.
Step 5:
Remove from oven and let cool for 2 3 minutes. Carefully transfer tartlets to a serving platter.
Step 6:
Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds chives or parsley black pepper and pistachios if using.
Step 7:
Serve warm or at room temperature.
